Flank Steak on the grille

Bonkers Marinade - This is my go to for any kind of red meat, pork or kebabs that are going to hit the grill. Red wine, worcestershire and garlic are strong tart flavors, but they are balanced out by the sugars in the honey and Teriyaki. The flavor really sinks in past the 12 hours mark, so make sure you have time to prep and put the meat aside for at least that long before you grill.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1⁄2cups oil

  • 3⁄4cup Teriyaki sauce

  • 1⁄4cup Worcestershire sauce

  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (or to taste)

  • 1⁄2cup wine vinegar

  • 1 -2 tablespoon fresh minced garlic (or to taste, I use lots!)

  • 1⁄3cup store-bought teriyaki sauce

  • 1⁄2cup honey

  • 2 small green onions, chopped (optional)

Preparation:

The best and easiest way to make this marinade is in a blender. Combine all ingredients and blend for 30 seconds on medium to high. Pour over meat in a glass dish and leave for 4-24 hours to really soak in all those rich flavors. For steak and thick meats (not chicken) i recommend putting small 1/2 slices into the meat and rubbing the marinade into those slices
